A claim transaction that isn’t a claim

Unwitting GitHub / celebrity metadata·Pump.fun·multiple (Feb 2026 thread)LogConf. Medium

Researchers described a flow where a third party creates a fee-sharing config tied to a GitHub name, then emits a claim-looking transaction so dashboards show “the official GitHub claimed.” Retail FOMO follows. The person never touched the coin.

Even if the honest version is “we sent you money,” the dishonest version forges the central visual: the claim as blessing. Fact-check this before it leads a summary.
