A Jito engineer who had never traded Pump.fun gets a paid LinkedIn InMail: someone made a coin for his project Flurry and pointed fees at his GitHub. He claims, says he will use the fees to try to bond it “to make degens money,” and posts the mint.

The Clawdbot (later OpenClaw/Moltbot) founder, after a viral GitHub, was pinged until he posted: “Please stop pinging me, stop harassing me. I will never do a coin. Any project that lists me as coin owner is a SCAM. No, I will not accept fees.” Nearly 388,000 views. Coverage later described a ~$16M fake-token scare and a Discord crypto ban.

Someone deployed a Base token using Sovra’s name and collected money from people who thought they were supporting the project. Gajesh: “we didn’t know. we didn’t consent. and we sure as hell aren’t keeping it.” An emergency upgrade refunded every fee-payer. He said it was the third time that month he had watched the pattern hit a legitimate builder.

Klock ships mactop to GitHub. A bagworker announces he “JUST CLAIMED A BAGS COIN” and therefore “IMMA MAKE A PUMP COIN AND SEND FEES TO HIS GITHUB… HE WILL PROBABLY CLAIM THIS SINCE HE KNOWS CRYPTO.” Mint posted minutes later.

Migrate.fun’s first victory lap, 16–19 Jul 2025: @AgentHustleAI moved $TNSR to $HUSTLE. 77% of tokens migrated — “extremely high participation.” 869 SOL unlocked from the Pump LP (they said ~92% of trapped liquidity). “Maybe even bigger: with 75% of the community migrated, 250M tokens (25%) flow back to the team and community.” A later post rounded it to 23% of the new token in the team treasury. The pitch to the next CTO: imagine getting control of your token supply.

18 Aug 2026: @catcoin announces $CAT → $CATCOIN, 1B supply, unified liquidity. @MigrateFun: “In a migration first, we are unifying @catcoin’s community by combining both its SOL and BNB tokens into a single relaunch on pumpfun.” mig221 is canonical: 50M CAT = 1 MFT, powered by Emblem Vault, homepage window 18 Aug–7 Sep. Official how-to the next day — SOL one transaction; BNB two wallets then “claim MFT.” @catcoin spent the week posting “we will NEVER DM you first / we have NO support account.” Impersonators arrived anyway on recycled pre-2015 handles (@MigrateFunCTO, @MigrateFun_CTO, @Migratefun_DEX) and costume names (Kirk Behke, Carl Williamson, Noah). Named holders: @Ovickyoung (“you are the scammer”), @ttvtt0304 (Gate.io), @Dandy09097 (wallet connect). 26 Aug: 30.61% deposited. Remaining 69.4% is not captured until the window closes.

Researchers described a flow where a third party creates a fee-sharing config tied to a GitHub name, then emits a claim-looking transaction so dashboards show “the official GitHub claimed.” Retail FOMO follows. The person never touched the coin.

A bagworker account named @Robinhood_BRO spent the afternoon trying to point Pump GitHub fees at Brian Roemmele (~486k followers). Roemmele: “Not working. It won’t let me claim it.” The bagworker posted a mint and a second account asked to send to github.com/BrianRoemmele.

A bagworker: a community “crowdfunded a donation to your work directly through the Pump fun app and sent it to your GitHub. It’s been sitting there for almost two weeks… If you have any questions about how to claim it, feel free to DM me.”

October 2024: an AI artist posts a still from an ARG he has been building for years. Overnight someone launches $PROJECT89 on Pump.fun on his work, without consent. He does not refuse. He is given 1% of supply “and a smile.” The coin blows up. Ten months later the official account says others made millions while he got nothing — no trading fees, no LP, no contract — and migrates the token to Bonk Fun so the team can finally take the cashflow.

Socialify.fun is not a rumor. It is a live GPT-Engineer SPA: sign up, fund a custodial wallet, pick a TikTok or GitHub or Pornhub handle, and they will launch the Pump coin and hold the creator fees until that person pastes a claim code into a public bio. If the person never does, the launcher reclaims the “gift.” The official token — $SOC, mint J8WUkk…pump — printed 16 April 2026 at a ~$9k ATH. Round 13: USD mcap ~$2.7k (the ~$28 figure was Pump’s SOL-unit market_cap field). The operator has not named themselves.

On 21 August 2026 a two-day-old X account, @sprkdotgg, posted a 20-second video: “Ignite the spark. Back the creators you love.” The pitch was the play as a product — launch a Pump coin for any TikTok or X creator; they claim via Sign in with X or a unique link in a bio. They launched their own coin, $SPRK, locked 9.6% for ten years, paid DEX. By 25 August every sprk.gg path returned Vercel DEPLOYMENT_NOT_FOUND. The coin is still a ~$2.5k ghost.
